WOW!!! It has been a while since I updated this thing and soooooo much has happened! Where do I begin? Well. We decided a while ago to go look at a home that was farther west than we had even thought to look but we discovered through some investigating on UTA's website that the fast bus could get Dan to work and school in the same amount of time as it does now from about 7200 west and 3500 south. We offered on the home and as usual it was a short sale. It was a nice home that only needed new carpet but even that could wait if it needed to. It was in really great shape. We offered about $197,000.00 and found out that we were the highest bid. Well the agent selling it was either trying to get a friend to buy it or was the agent representing both the buyer and the seller. He was being really stupid about the whole thing so we just kept looking. There was a builder in the same neighborhood that was offering homes for a really low price and was promising they would be done by Novemeber 30th in order for people to still get the 8,000.00 grant from the government. We went and did a little research and found that they had an A+ rating on with the BBB and that they had been in business for over 30 years. We met with them and told them what we wanted and what we wanted to pay. It took them a while to finally accept our terms but they did. SO WE ARE BUILDING!!! The home address is 7027 West Balm Willow Place West Valley, Utah. This home is just down the street from the one we offered on (which is still for sale :)) The home we offered on was 3000 square feet on a .21 acres lot (or so it claims, it doesn't really feel like .21 acres at all!) It was built in either 2006 or 2007 and had an unfinished basement. The one we are building is a little bit smaller but that leaves us with a bigger lot (which I'm excited for) cause the lot is .20 and the home is 2700 square feet. I like the floor plan of the one we are building much better cause the bedrooms are all behind the garage. We are also on a corner lot into a culdesac so it is a very secluded part of the neighborhood with little to no traffic. The Kitchen and Master are a little bit smaller than the house we offered on down the road but I'm ok with it. I got to pick all the colors and I get a bigger yard!! I think 2700 square feet is pleanty big. This home also has a warranty which is nice! We are spending a little more but not much. We know this is where the Lord wants us. We signed and got it started about a week before we found out that the new home grant from the state was brought back. The $6,000.00 new home grant was in effect earlier this year but they were all used up. The grant now is for $4,000.00 but that is still better than nothing. We are supposed to be out of there by November 30th. I'm so excited to have Christmas in a new house with lots of room for the kids to play. Currently we have 4 walls. I'll keep updating more often with pics to show the process. Now. For an update on the kids.

Xander is now 6 months and is all over the place. He rolls like crazy and is close to figuring out the crawling thing. Today he got up on all fours for just a moment but his big knees slid out from under him. Last time I took him in to the doctor he weighed 20 Ibs. That was around 5 months. The doctor said that he was teething when I took him in for a stuffy nose around 4.5 months but we still haven't seen any cut through. He has pretty much decided he would rather not nurse and I'm not too opposed other than the fact that formula is expensive. I figure I'm saving so much by making his baby food that it is ok. He pinches my arm really hard the entire time he nurses so I'm kinda ok with him prefering the bottle. He is getting so big. I just can't believe how fast it has happened this time. It didn't seem as fast with Addi. Xander LOVES his big sister. He just laughs like crazy when she dances for him and when she plays peek-a-boo. It is nice to see that he doesn't get fussy when she takes something away of bumps him a little. He is such an easy going kid. Today I got a call from my neighbor Teri who live down and across the hall and she asked if my kid was screaming. Sure enough. It was Xander. He hates when I make dinner and don't pay attention to him and he has just discovered how to scream. I couldn't believe she could hear him all the way down there with all the doors and windows shut. I felt really bad for the people directly below us.

Now for the update on Addi. She has been keeping me really really busy. She loves to get into everything!! Lately it has been fun for her to try on Xander's clothes. The scarey part is that the shirts are close to fitting her and the pants fit her waist but not the length. Xander is one chunky kid! Addi loves to help me in the kitchen and often times just drives me nuts. I was so frustrated with her one day I decided to teach her a new phrase. "I drive mommy crazy." She also started asking me recently "What's your probem mom?" She leaves the "L" out. She picked up on that cause I am constantly asking her that when she is whiney. We also taught her to say her full name. She doesn't quite understand that Addi is a nick name and Addilyn is her full name so she says... "I Addi Bicki Tewee" She can't said the "v" in her middle name and her "r" is a "w" sound. It is so funny to hear he say it. Her full name is Addilyn Vicki Terry. Someday we will get her to say it correctly but for now it is cute. She also says "neem me anone" instead of "leave me alone" she also copies me when she doesn't want to do something or wants to be left alone she will say "No mom I'm good." I told her one day she was going to get a spankin and she layed down on the coffee table and covered her butt with her hands and yell "No Mom!! My butt" over and over. We were also singing shake your booty but her version was "Shake your booby" She was so cute a few months ago she couldn't say wake up. So she would come in and hit my arm and say "Wack up mommy wack up!" She has started the get into everything stage so I'll find my jewlery everywhere and my clothes all over too. She loves to help me "clean" so she wipes everything in the house down with my clean towels. The other day I wasn't fast enough getting the groceries put away and I was busy filling out the loan application for the house when I notices it was really quiet. I look over and she is under the coffee table (where she goes to play with things she knows she shouldn't) and I could see a bunch of gum wrappers. I pull her out and the entire pack (brand new pack) of trident gum was gone. All 18 pieces. I looked everywhere and counted the wrappers. Yep all 18 wrappers where there but no sign of any gum. I asked Addi where it was and she said it was in her tummy. UGH!! I called poison control to make sure that it wouldn't hurt her but she was fine. They said she might have a tummy ache but it should digest just fine. That happened just a few days after her and her cousin Coleman raided Grandma Terry's food storage while we were up doing peaches. Shannon found them eating peanut M&Ms off the floor that they had spilled and some raisens as well. When she found them they both quickly spit out the evidence on to the floor so we had to clean up a bunch of colorful spit and all the M&Ms that hadn't been consumed. She has taken off on me a few times into the street at both Grandparent's houses. I get so freaked out about it but she laughes and thinks it is funny. Just makes me sick to think what could happen if a car was coming or if I wasn't fast enough. She also loves to climg into the drivers seat in the car but the funny part is that she always puts the seatbelt on before she starts pretending to drive.
Well. It is late and I'm tierd so I'll update on what is new with Dan and I later.
